Blick über Mio-no-Matsu-bara an der Mündung des Flusses Okitsu. Dschunken sind vor einem Fischerdorf verankert, im Hintergrund ist eine hügelige Küste sichtbar. Segelboote sind in der Bucht unterwegs. Die herrliche Aussicht auf die berühmten Pinienhaine "Mihonomatsubara" war von dieser Raststätte möglich. Dies Gegend ist heute der Hafen von Shimizu, der grösste Hafen zwischen Yokohama und Nagoya.

The most magnificent view of the famous pine groves "Mihonomatsubara" could be had from this station. There stands a pine tree referred to in the famous legend "the feathered robe". This station is now the port of Shimizu, the biggest port between Yokohama and Nagoya.
